KPMG Australia has penalized seven staff members for misusing confidential client information. Financial penalties up to A$180,000 were imposed after an internal audit leak probe. This scandal has already led to the resignations of the firm's CEO and other senior leaders. The Australian Securities and Investments Commission is also investigating three partners. The firm confirmed internal documents were inappropriately shared among individuals.
