RIYADH: The Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs performed the first remote robotic surgery (telesurgery) in the Kingdom on a patient at King Abdulaziz Medical City in Jeddah. The surgery was performed using a surgical robot controlled by a medical team from King Abdulaziz Medical City in Riyadh, reflecting the integration between the surgical teams in the kidney and urology departments of the two medical cities.
