Heartstopping moment driver is dragged from burning car as it bursts into flames

Corporal Joshua Swisher of the Southlake Department of Public Safety was alerted to a smoking vehicle while conducting a traffic stop. He directed the car to the hard shoulder, then broke the driver's window and pulled the him to safety seconds before flames engulfed the vehicle.The driver did not suffer any serious injuries thanks to the officer's swift intervention. Corporal Swisher was presented with the Southlake Police Department’s Meritorious Conduct Award, the department's second-highest honour.
