Preliminary discussions for Karnataka's cabinet expansion have begun. Chief Minister D K Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah met party leadership regarding the expansion. The Congress high command will finalize the list of candidates soon. All 20 vacancies are expected to be filled before the assembly session. Selections will consider caste, religion, region, and youth representation.
