Bangladesh's financial intelligence agency has seized $6.2 billion in assets tied to ex-Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, her family, and major business groups amid corruption probes.

Of the total frozen assets, Tk 57,000 crore is domestic assets, while Tk 19,000 crore is located abroad

Investigators pursue overseas assets as corruption and money laundering probes continue.

Authorities have opened 98 cases and are still trying to recover money they say was moved overseas.
