From cold desert to floral hub: Ladakh launches India's highest Lilium field

Ladakh has launched India's highest commercial Lilium cultivation field in Choglamsar, Leh. Over fifty thousand premium Lilium bulbs were planted across the expansive nine-hectare site. This initiative leverages Ladakh's naturally cold climate for successful bulb cultivation and multiplication. The project aims to generate sustainable local employment through a cooperative model. Premium Lilium cut stems are expected to fetch between one hundred fifty and two hundred rupees each.
