Tamil Nadu school holiday update 2026: Schools and colleges to remain closed on July 28 and August 3

Students in parts of Tamil Nadu will have additional holidays in July and August as district administrations have announced local holidays for major regional festivals. Schools, colleges and government offices in Tenkasi district will remain closed on July 28, 2026, due to the Aadi Thapasu festival at the Sankarankovil Sri Sankaranarayanaswamy Temple.
