DNI nominee Jay Clayton was at times unable to say anything in response to questions about the 2020 election from Democrats.

Clayton testified before the Senate Intelligence committee Wednesday as part of his confirmation hearings as Trump’s new director of national intelligence.

Jay Clayton also told lawmakers he was not aware that President Donald Trump ordered the former intel chief to be present at an FBI raid of an election site in Atlanta.

Trump nominated Jay Clayton to replace Bill Pulte, who is currently the acting director of national intelligence.
