Security camera footage shows Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents surrounding a vehicle in Maine, moments before the fatal shooting of a 26-year-old Colombian man. On Monday (13 July), an agent fatally shot Johan Sebastián Guerrero during an immigration enforcement operation - the second time in a week that the agency has used deadly force against a migrant. Footage shows a white vehicle circling a street intersection in Biddeford, before officers on foot attempted to stop it. After a white SUV rammed into the vehicle, the agents surrounded the car, with one pointing an object at the driver. They then pulled a motionless individual out of the vehicle and onto the street. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security said that an ICE officer, “fearing for public safety”, fired his weapon after attempting to stop a vehicle during surveillance of “the last known address of an illegal alien”.

DHS said an ICE agent fired his weapon at the man, an illegal immigrant with a final order of removal, after he attempted to flee.
