Car shoots fireworks at other vehicles on Florida highway in chaotic July 4 scene

A passenger was caught on camera shooting fireworks at other vehicles on a busy Florida highway in a baffling Fourth of July celebration. Helicopter footage shared by St John’s County Sheriff’s Office shows pyrotechnics being launched out of the moving vehicle, which was towing a boat, towards other cars on Interstate 95. Deputies quickly responded, and bodycam footage shows an officer speaking to the driver after a traffic stop. The driver repeatedly denied that they fired fireworks out of their vehicle until the officer revealed that a helicopter had been following the car for the past 10 miles. The passenger was arrested and charged with shooting a deadly missile from a moving vehicle, the sheriff's office said. The charges were later dropped by the State Attorney’s Office.
