Former smokers with COPD see lower exacerbation rate with itepekimab in phase 3 trial

ORLANDO — In one phase 3 trial, former smokers with COPD receiving itepekimab had a significantly lower annualized moderate/severe exacerbation rate than those receiving placebo, according to data presented here.Researchers did not find a significant result in the second phase 3 trial, according to the presentation at the American Thoracic Society International Conference.
