A Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton from South Dakota, nicknamed Gus, has become the world’s most expensive fossil sold at auction.

The T. rex skeleton found in South Dakota measures 38 feet in length and 12.5 feet tall, with a skull of 54 inches, according to the art auction firm Sotheby’s.
