India has strongly condemned the attack on two commercial vessels carrying Indian seafarers through the Strait of Hormuz. The MEA summoned Iran's Deputy Chief of Mission, lodged a strong protest, and called for an immediate end to violence and a return to dialogue in West Asia. During the weekly briefing, the MEA also highlighted External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar's recent outreach to Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman, where energy security and regional developments were key topics of discussion.
