Supreme Court restores widow's rights, says registered will must pass judicial scrutiny if surrounded by suspicious circumstances

The Supreme Court has reiterated that merely proving the execution and registration of a Will is not enough where surrounding circumstances create legitimate doubts about its authenticity. Holding that a Will is among the most solemn documents recognised by law, the Court said its propounder must remove every genuine suspicion surrounding its execution before it can be accepted by the court.
