Maritime tensions near Yemen are rising again. The UK Maritime Trade organisation has reported another incident involving a tanker transiting 50 nautical miles south of Aden, along the Internationally Recommended Transit Corridor. This is the fourth such incident reported near Yemen in recent weeks, underscoring the growing risk for commercial shipping in waters already known for piracy, conflict spillover and militant activity.
