Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez on Monday urged Spain to strengthen its prevention measures after one of the country's deadliest wildfires in recent history killed 13 people and razed a huge area.

Firefighters are still trying to contain one of Spain’s deadliest wildfires, with a total of 11 people confirmed dead, while 19 more are missing.

Spanish officials cautioned that the full scale of the disaster is still emerging as rescue efforts continue and officials work to identify victims.
