Army eyes one-way desi drones with 1,000-km strike envelope

The Indian Army is initiating a process to acquire indigenous long-range attack drones. These drones will possess AI-enabled targeting and operate in GPS-denied environments. The systems must accurately hit targets at a 1,000 km range with a 25 kg warhead. The Army aims to create an independent ecosystem for drone manufacturing in India. This acquisition will enhance the armed forces' strike capabilities significantly.
