Facebook Marketplace robbers jailed for 30 years after luring victims into armed ambushes
Two KwaZulu-Natal men have each been sentenced to an effective 30 years in prison after using Facebook Marketplace to lure buyers and sellers into armed robberies in Mariannhill. The Pinetown Regional Court heard that the pair posed as prospective traders before robbing victims at gunpoint and knifepoint, stealing cash, electronics and bank funds.
