Ram Mandir donation row: Nripendra Mishra opens up on digital donations, Temple Trust appointments

Responding to allegations of embezzlement in Ram Mandir donations, Ram Mandir Construction Committee Chairman Nripendra Mishra said he had no information regarding the proposed appointments to the Temple Trust or whether July 18 had been fixed for applications for the post of the Trust's CEO. He clarified that the CEO functions under the Temple Trust and is not an independent authority. Mishra also stressed the importance of digital transactions, saying the Trust encourages donations through digital modes to minimise cash handling, adding that "the less cash is handled, the better it is."
