The driver of the No. 12 Team Penske Ford narrowly edged out his teammate, Joey Logano, for the pole position in Sunday's Quaker State 400 at EchoPark Speedway.

Blaney overcame a rain delay of over three hours, as well as challenges from Bubba Wallace and Carson Hocevar, to win a thriller.

Ryan Blaney led more laps at a drafting track than any driver since Richard Petty in 1964, and he finished it off with a thrilling overtime Quaker State 400 win
