Moment speeding Tesla flips in deadly Florida crash that killed scooter rider

Florida police dash camera video captured the moment a speeding car crashed into a pole and flipped over after fatally striking a scooter rider. A St. Johns County Sheriff's Office deputy was reportedly notified of a suspicious individual in a black Tesla at a gas station Wednesday (July 8). The driver sped off after the deputy approached, hitting the 64-year-old woman on a motorized scooter as he fled. Another deputy pursued the fleeing vehicle, which then struck a pole and overturned in a hotel parking lot. The scooter driver was pronounced dead on the scene. The Tesla driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
