Hanoi (dpa) - Bei einem Bootsunglück im Südwesten Vietnams sind staatlichen Medienberichten zufolge mindestens 15 Touristen aus Indien ums Leben gekommen. Das Schnellboot eines örtlichen Reiseveranstalters sei am Samstag vor der Küste der größten vietnamesischen Insel Phú Quốc im Golf von Thailand gekentert, berichtete die Zeitung „VnExpress“ unter Berufung auf Behördenangaben. Das Unglück habe sich nur 400 Meter vor der Küste bei rauer See zugetragen, hieß es. Auf dem Schnellboot seien 32 Touristen und 4 Besatzungsmitglieder gewesen, alle seien über Bord gegangen. Boote in der Umgebung hätten bei den Rettungsarbeiten geholfen, allerdings seien viele Passagiere im Innern des Schnellbootes eingeschlossen gewesen. Die Rettungsarbeiten und die Suche nach den Vermissten dauerten am Samstagabend (Ortszeit) noch an. Die indischen Behörden bestätigten den Vorfall, äußerten sich zunächst aber nicht zur Zahl der Toten.Bootsunglücke sind in Vietnam keine Seltenheit.
