The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has alerted Nigerians after authorities in Ghana confiscated about 140 boxes of banned alcoholic energy drinks, warning importers, distributors, and consumers to ensure the products do not enter the Nigerian market. In a public alert issued on Friday, NAFDAC said it received official notification from the Ghana Food and Drugs Authority that the products were seized during regulatory enforcement operations in the Upper East Region of Ghana.
