A preliminary investigation by the safety bureau shows the crew of the Bombardier Challenger aircraft discontinued its initial approach to Asaba Airport before attempting a second landing that ended on a construction road. Investigators say analysis of the flight continues.

According to the report, "There were seven occupants on board, comprising four crew members and three passengers, and no injuries were recorded.”
