Authorities are investigating a blaze at a shoe factory in southeastern China's Fujian province that killed 28 people, raising renewed concern over worker safety.

Jinjiang, in the coastal Fujian province, is a major footwear and apparel manufacturing hub and is often referred to as China‘s “shoe capital.”
