Who is Sushmita Dev? Miranda House graduate’s political journey from Congress to TMC and now as BJP candidate for Rajya Sabha

Three former Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha MPs joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in Kolkata. Sushmita Dev, Sukhendu Sekhar Ray, and Prakash Chik Baraik were formally inducted. Dev previously served the Congress and led its women's wing. She later joined TMC and was nominated to the Rajya Sabha. Their move follows recent internal unrest within the TMC party.
