The Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS) has resolved to establish a political steering committee to monitor and fast-track the implementation of the R14.9-billion Vaal Gamagara bulk water supply scheme project (VGBWSS), in Northern Cape. Water and Sanitation Deputy Minister David Mahlobo, during a site visit this week, said that, under the political steering committee, the project managers will be expected to report on a monthly basis on progress of the project.
