A toddler suffered a traumatic head injury after being dropped on the floor by a daycare worker. Surveillance footage shows a worker failing to catch the 23-month-old after throwing them into the air. As the child fell to the ground, the employee tumbled backwards and landed on top of him. The parents of the child have launched a lawsuit against The Bay Club following the March 2025 incident, which they claim was downplayed to them. The child suffered a concussion and still experiences side effects from the fall, the lawsuit claims. The Bay Club, which operates more than 25 clubs primarily in California, responded to the lawsuit. "We are unable to comment on ongoing litigation,” it said. “At the Bay Club, the safety of our members, team members, and the families we serve is our highest priority."

Lawsuit alleges a 23-month-old suffered a traumatic brain injury at California child care center.

The lawsuit alleges The Bay Club “tried to cover up the true nature of the incident” at its El Segundo Clubhouse last year.
