Bonnie Tyler, iconic singer of Total Eclipse of the Heart, died unexpectedly in Portugal at 75 due to an illness she was receiving treatment for, her family confirmed.

Bonnie Tyler, whose hits included the pop classics as “Total Eclipse of the Heart” and “Holding Out for a Hero,” has died.

Tyler died "unexpectedly" in a hospital in Portugal where she was being treated for an illness, her family said Thursday in a statement on her website.
