Muslim divorce pronounced privately can still be formally declared by court: Allahabad HC

NEW DELHI: The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad high court has ruled that a family court cannot refuse to formally declare a couple's marital status as "divorced" merely because the talaq was pronounced privately under Muslim Personal Law and neither party disputes it.
