LONDON: The secretary-general of the Muslim World League, Sheikh Mohammed Al-Issa, delivered a televised address at a forum on the values of Islamic civilization in Tashkent on Wednesday. Speaking at the event, titled “Islamic Civilization: The Path of Peace, Tolerance and Enlightenment,” the Saudi scholar highlighted Uzbekistan’s role in Islamic history, particularly through the cities of Samarkand and Bukhara, which stood on the ancient Silk Road and contributed to the exchange of knowledge, science and religious values.
