The region has received eighty-seven percent of its average rainfall so far. Jayakwadi dam, the largest, has twenty-eight percent water remaining. Acquired wells are also supplying water to many affected villages.

Delayed monsoon has reduced Marathwada's sowing area by 17.87 lakh hectares, with rainfall remaining 13% below normal across the region.
