Marathwada dam levels drop to 34% as rainfall stays below average; 100-plus villages rely on tankers

Marathwada dams hold only thirty-four percent water stock this year. Over one hundred villages now depend on water tankers for daily needs. The region has received eighty-seven percent of its average rainfall so far. Jayakwadi dam, the largest, has twenty-eight percent water remaining. Acquired wells are also supplying water to many affected villages.
