Omani space technology firm wins award at UN AI event in Geneva

LONDON: An Omani space technology startup won a bronze award at the International Telecommunication Union’s AI for Good initiative in Geneva on Tuesday. Oman Lens was recognized for its participation in an international project themed “Eradicating Hunger,” which focused on using AI to analyze agricultural crops and support food security through advanced algorithms based on space data and satellite imagery, the Oman News Agency reported.
