Assam Rifles jawans killed in ambush; joint forces launch massive operation in Manipur

Security forces are conducting extensive operations to apprehend militants responsible for the ambush. Two Assam Rifles personnel were killed in the attack along the Imphal-Dimapur National Highway. The NSCN-IM denied involvement and reaffirmed commitment to the ongoing peace process. Security forces recovered an IED and arrested several cadres from different militant groups. Naga and Meitei women staged a protest demanding justice and peace in the state.
