Ahmedabad serial blasts: HC upholds death penalty for 38 IM operatives, life imprisonment for 11

The Gujarat High Court has confirmed the death sentences for thirty-eight accused in the devastating 2008 Ahmedabad serial blasts, which tragically resulted in fifty-six fatalities and left 246 injured due to a series of twenty-three explosions. Additionally, eleven other defendants were sentenced to life imprisonment under a trial court ruling from February 2022. Victims' families have also been awarded compensation for their losses.
