A Trump official clashed with a CNN anchor over ‘vandalism’ claims made by the Trump administration about the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. Interior Secretary Doug Burgum spoke to Dana Bash on Sunday (5 June) to discuss the current state of the Reflecting Pool amid the $15 million renovations still underway. Trump has claimed vandals are responsible for the peeling blue paint bubbling to the pool’s surface. “ There are photographs of a person or people cutting a 300 or 350-foot gash in the bottom of the Reflecting Pool?” Bash asked.  “Dana, I'm not sure why you and others in the media think that you want to keep trying to question whether or not ... this is an industrial liner,” Burgum said.
