The EU is restricting funding for renewable energy projects using inverters from suppliers in high-risk countries such as China in an attempt to tackle potential cybersecurity threats.
The policy applies to inverters coming from China, notably from firms such as Huawei and Sungrow, but also from Russia, Iran and North Korea, the EU announced on Monday.
