Portugal, Spain unveil new power link to exchange 1,000 MW

Portugal and Spain have commissioned a new 400-kV electricity interconnector in the north of the Iberian Peninsula, increasing cross-border power exchange capacity by about 1,000 MW, Portuguese grid operator REN said on Thursday.
