Mumbai rain fury: 6 killed, many injured in chawl collapse in Mankhurd, red alert remains in effect

Six people died after a ground-plus-three structure collapsed onto nearby shanties in Mumbai's Mankhurd amid heavy rain. NDRF rushed two rescue teams to the site within minutes as nearly 45 personnel battled rain and unstable debris. The collapse occurred around 8:30 PM in Janata Nagar, trapping multiple residents beneath the rubble. Rescuers pulled out six victims from the debris and shifted them to a nearby hospital during the operation.
