SIR 3.0: First draft rolls published for 4 states; 22 lakh names deleted

Nearly 22 lakh voters have been removed from draft electoral rolls in Odisha, Manipur, Mizoram, and Sikkim as part of the Election Commission's Special Intensive Revision. Deaths and electors who have shifted residence account for most deletions, with Odisha seeing over 20 lakh removals. Manipur, however, reported the highest proportion of anomalies. Citizens can file claims and objections until August 4 to restore names before final rolls are published.
