Bateman, high on nitrous oxide, used his car to hit Ms Davis and Mr Bratcher outside a club in Caerau, Cardiff, in September last year, following a disagreement. Ms Davis, 38, died two weeks after the incident from multiple organ failure and complications, while Mr Bratcher, 40, sustained serious injuries. The judge stated that Bateman did not intend to harm Ms Davis but was guilty of her murder because she was in the way when he intended to cause serious harm to Mr Bratcher.
