Regional connectivity to get big boost as PM to launch modified UDAN scheme

NEW DELHI: Over nine years after it was launched, PM Modi will on Saturday launch a revamped Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik (UDAN) that could provide a much-needed boost to this regional connectivity scheme (RCS) with an allocation of Rs 28,840 crore over a decade. The modified scheme aims to develop 100 existing airstrips across the country into UDAN airports by investing Rs 12,000 crore.
