Ukraine said on July 3 that the death toll from a massive barrage on its capital had risen to at least 30 people, as both Kiev and Moscow vowed fresh assaults.

Russia said the attack – the second-deadliest on Kyiv so far this year – was in retaliation for recent strikes on its civil infrastructure.

The death toll from Russia's large-scale combined strike on Kyiv has risen to 18 as of 12:40 on 2 July.
