LONDON: Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman and British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer met in London on Thursday to discuss developments in the Middle East and to affirm their countries’ historical ties. The meeting focused on ways to support negotiations and diplomatic efforts to ensure safe and secure maritime navigation through the Gulf’s strategic waterways, according to Oman News Agency. The two leaders also discussed outstanding issues in the region, foremost among them the Iranian nuclear file.
