Novel agent reduces new ossification lesions in patients with rare bone disease

CHICAGO — In patients with fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva, an oral selective inhibitor of activin receptor–like kinase 2 was linked to lower odds of new heterotopic ossification lesions vs. placebo at 24 weeks, researchers reported.
