Pubs and licenced venues around Victoria will be allowed to stay open all night on Friday into Saturday so Socceroos fans can watch the do-or-die World Cup clash with Egypt.

Licensed pubs and clubs will be allowed to trade between 3am and 7am on Saturday for the match – only the third time the men’s team have made the do-or-die stages of the World Cup.

The trial changes to licence laws will allow venues to apply to open from 3am to 7am to broadcast the game.
