St Mary man charged for alleged rape and robbery of woman he met on dating app

Detectives in St Catherine have charged a St Mary man for the alleged rape and robbery of a woman whom he met on the dating app Tinder.Demoy Pennington, 33, who is a bar operator, was on Tuesday charged with forcible abduction, rape, and robbery with aggravation. The police report that in April 2026, the man and the woman met online and continued to communicate.It is being alleged that they decided to meet up and did so on the afternoon of June 25 along Hagley Park Road in St Andrew.
