Lt Gen Rajesh Pushkar AVSM, VSM assumes command of Southern Command

Lieutenant General Rajesh Pushkar has taken charge as the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Southern Command. A decorated officer with extensive command and staff experience, he has served in various operational and strategic roles. General Pushkar, an alumnus of the National Defence Academy, has also held international assignments. Upon assuming command, he pledged to maintain high operational readiness and enhance jointness and technological integration for the nation's security.
