An England fan spent his £40,000 house deposit on a trip with his father to see the Three Lions at the World Cup 2026. Jack Goodwin, 34, has pre-booked his hotels, flights and tickets to every potential England game, including the final in New Jersey on 19 July. “I saved up for a house and I blew my whole house deposit taking me and my dad out here.” Goodwin said that despite the experience being “very expensive”, he considers himself extremely lucky to be able to follow Thomas Tuchel’s squad for their World Cup campaign. “This is a once in a lifetime opportunity,” he said.
