Migration tensions in SA could heighten risks for women and children, warns CGE

The Commission for Gender Equality (CGE) has warned that heightened tensions around migration in South Africa could expose women, children and other vulnerable groups to increased risks of violence, exploitation and discrimination, calling on authorities to ensure that immigration laws are enforced in a manner that protects fundamental rights.
